Fire Damage – Wilmington Condominium
Fire damage to this Wilmington Condo began as an electrical fire. The fire damage was minimal, but the soot and smoke damage was extensive. In addition, there was a very strong odor remaining from the fire. SERVPRO of New Hanover technicians arriving at a fire damage site first do an assessment of the damage and the premises. It was discovered that this property was positive for asbestos so an abatement was required before we could begin to provide fire damage restoration services. Once that was completed, our personnel would use clean sponges to remove the soot and smoke damage. It takes a lot of manual hard work to clean up damage like this and return the premises to preloss conditions.
